Examines how processing conditions influence the long-term performance of PVC-U pressure pipes. Based on testing of DN140 PN10 pipes, it explores the relationship between melt temperature, gelation degree and long-term pressure resistance, with the aim of defining processing conditions that support a design lifetime of at least 100 years.
The research is funded by PVC4Pipes, now VinylPlus Pipes.
